Immediate Danger & Emergencies - 911

If you or someone you love is in immediate danger, call 911 and get to safety as soon a possible.
Calling 911 is for when you are in immediate danger. It does not mean you are making a permanent legal choice (such as filling charges against someone else); it is simply a way to get you and your children to a safe place right now.

A Note On Your Safety

If you are worried that someone in your home might see that you have looked for help:
- The Law as a Shield: Remember that calling for help is not an act of malice; it is an act of seeking the protection that God intends for the vulnerable.
- Anonymity:
You do not have to give your name right away. You can just talk until you feel steady.
- Leaving a Trace:
If you are using a shared computer or a phone that others check, please remember to be careful. If you are in immediate danger, the quickest way to find safety is to go to a trusted neighbor’s home and call 911.

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble." — Psalm 9:9
